Text messaging is something most people do these days, it is a good way of getting a message quickly to someone and a great way to remind someone to do something.

The Practice started a text messaging smobilephoneervice in November 2017, we currently use the service to send patients a reminder about their appointment, it will be extended to cover inviting patients in for reviews, contacting patients when we have to change appointments and letting patients know about changes that might affect them, as well as reminding patients when they've missed an appointment.

There will be no sensitive information in the the texts and the system the Practice will be using is very secure.

Patients are asked to assist the Practice in keeping reliable records by getting in touch with us to update their contact details as soon as any changes happen.

It is in the best interests of patients to ensure that any information sent to them is kept securely.

Please contact the Practice if you would like any more information.
